My Story

Hello, I'm Lawrence Strano, proudly hailing from Innisfail and brought up amidst the thriving fields of a sugar cane farm. With a deep-seated passion for agriculture cultivated from an early age, my path has led me through over 14 years entrenched in the intricacies of the banana industry, following a prior stint crafting furniture.

My transition into the banana industry coincided with the prelude to Cyclone Yasi in 2011. Collaborating with an Australian supplier, we ventured into sourcing bunch covers. Over a fruitful four-year period, we successfully developed top-tier plastic covers with cloth liners, achieving our quality objectives. However, unforeseen alterations in their quality standards and decisions prompted us to part ways amicably.

Fueled by my passion for supporting local farmers, I ventured solo, aiming to identify a reliable manufacturing partner. This quest led me on several journeys offshore in pursuit of credible suppliers capable of meeting farmers' precise needs for high-quality bunch covers. After meticulous evaluations and my third visit, I struck a partnership with a superior supplier meeting my stringent standards.

Now, equipped with a robust supply chain and a strategic vision, I'm committed to long-term planning. My frequent overseas ventures ensure impeccable quality control, driven by a steadfast dedication to serving our industrious farming community.

In closing, I wish to convey my sincere appreciation for the meaningful feedback received from the farmers I collaborate with. Your insights are instrumental in shaping and improving my services to better address the unique needs and challenges within the agricultural and farming sectors. To each farmer who has generously shared their thoughts, thank you wholeheartedly. Your input plays a vital role in fostering positive changes within our agricultural community, and I am truly grateful for your contributions.
Please note, I approach farm visits with a dedicated commitment to safety, ensuring that I meticulously follow all necessary precautions in light of the challenges posed by Panama disease. This includes the careful implementation of biosecurity measures, adherence to hygiene protocols, and staying informed about the latest developments in disease prevention strategies
